What is this New Years Eve party site all about?

New Year's Eve is the biggest night of the year. NewYears.com lets partygoers search for parties in any city and purchase advance tickets online. NewYears.com is the only comprehensive online source of all the New Year's Eve parties around the globe.

How do I find a New Years Eve party and buy tickets?

All of the parties listed on NewYears.com are arranged by state and then city. For parties outside of the US, select "Other Locations" from the party selector. To find a party, simply go to our party listing page and search by the area that you are going out in. You may also use our search function to find a specific party quickly.

No parties in your area? Don't worry, most parties aren't listed until late November, and we're adding new parties all the time. Join our mailing list and we'll let you know when new parties are added in your area.

How does the all-access pass work?

The Times Square All-Access Pass is a ticket provided by New Years Eve party producers. This pass will enable the ticket holder the ability to adventure from party to party in and around the Times Square area. Included for you at each venue are FREE DRINKS and passed food appetizers from 7pm-11pm at participating venues. By purchasing your Times Square All-Access Pass, you will receive a customized route plan that will maximize your experience throughout the participating venues. Is my credit card information secure?

We appreciate the concern that many of our customers have regarding the security of online credit card transactions. You can be sure that NewYears.com takes all necessary security measures to protect your credit card information, and DOES NOT release information to any outside organizations. In addition, we use SSL technology to encrypt the information you send us throughout our Shopping Cart and Checkout process, so that it cannot be read in transit.

What does "open bar" mean?

"Open bar" means that drinks are included in the price of admission. This includes beer, wine, and alcohol though shots are not usually included. There are also several different types of open bar options. "Top Shelf Open Bar" means that the alcohol choices may consist of brands such as Absolut, Tanqueray, Bacardi, or the like. "Premium Open Bar" means that the alcohol choices may consist of brands such as Grey Goose, Tanqueray, Chivas Regal, Captain Morgan, and the like.

What happens after the open bar?

After an "Open Bar's" allotted time ends, typically a bar will become a regular cash bar where you pay for each individual drink.

How can I get a table?

If the venue or party you're hoping to attend has available tables, there will be a specific listing for it on its event page. Remember, each table and each venue is different, and sometimes there is a table minimum. If this is the case, it will be explicitly written with the purchasing description for that table.

How can I join my friend's table?

If you or your friend have already bought tickets for a specific table at a party, after reserving your table you will receive a 'Table Group Code'. When trying to join a table, you will be able to enter in that 'Table Group Code' before making a reservation. Remember, every table is private unless otherwise specified.

How should I dress?

Each Venue and party is different. Generally, each event description will have a guide for what kind of attire is suggested.

Will there be a coat check?

Each venue and party is different. While mostly all venues will have a coat check, not all will be included in the price of your ticket. Be sure to check the event description to see whether or not Coat Check is included in your ticket price, or available at all

Do I need an ID?

Yes, with every venue and party, properly issued and valid state or federal ID with a correct birth date is required for entry.

What is the difference between general admission and VIP?

Each Venue and Party is different. Generally, a VIP ticket can offer a private table and/or seating, faster entrance, longer open bar, food or entrance to a VIP area with or without a table.

When should I expect to receive my tickets?

All shipping options are subject to ticket inventories. If tickets are currently backordered, shipping delays are to be expected.

What is your refund policy?

Our general policy is that we offer no refunds unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled. You can read our full policy here. If the event is age restricted, you MUST certify that everyone meets the minimum age requirement.

Who do I contact about questions with my order?

You can always track your order through our order tracking page. You can also contact us through our contact request form.

What should I do if I get an error message when ordering my tickets?

Make sure you are entering the correct Billing Zip Code for the credit card. If you are using an international credit card, you may need to contact your credit card company to get internet approval for international purchases. If the problem persists,please email info@newyears.com with the error message you are receiving and we will help you purchase your ticket(s).

Can I order by phone or pay in person?

Yes. If you prefer not to order online, you can call us at 212-843-2400 to place a phone order.

If you're in New York, you can come to our office or storefront and pay in cash. Click here for location and hours. You may only buy tickets for events that are on sale on the site and ticket quantity may be limited.

How do I join/unsusbcribe from the mailing list?

You can sign up for our mailing list here. Unsubscribe instructions are included in every email that is sent. Just click the link at the bottom of the email.

Are there any costs involved?
There is no fee to list your party on NewYears.com. If you decide to sell tickets with us, we take a small commission on what we sell for you. If you do not sell tickets with us and wish to list your contact details or web site, there is a nominal listing fee involved. We also offer advertising packages on NewYears.com, Clubplanet.com and to our opt-in email list of partygoers who want information on New Year's Eve parties. How do I list my New Years Eve party?
Listing your party is easy. Go to our post a party page, create an account, and then provide the details on your event or events. Once you submit your party, please allow 1-2 days for one of our editors to review and approve the listing. We'll send you an email once your party has been approved.

How do I sell tickets through NewYears.com?
When you list your party with us, check the box that indicates that you want to sell tickets with NewYears.com. One of our associates will then contact you to walk through the steps necessary to set up ticket sales for your event. You can email or call us with any questions as well.

How do I track sales?
When you list your party with us, you create an account that allows you to logon and check the status of your ticket sales. You have complete control over all your party details, ticket prices and inventory.

When do I get paid?
All promoters will be paid by January 1, 2009. This allows us time to process and validate all orders. We must also have your social security number or federal tax id on file before checks can be sent.

Affiliate FAQ

What is a New Years Eve affiliate?
An affiliate is someone who has their own web site and wishes to link to NewYears.com in order to collect a commission on all sales generated by visitors to their site. When you signup to be an affiliate, we'll create a personalized version of our site, skinned with your logo and color scheme, giving you your own affiliate store. Affiliates earn a percentage of each sale while we handle backend fulfillment and customer service. All you need to do is integrate the store into your web site. There are no setup fees, and this is a great way to add content to your site and generate revenue for your company.

Sounds great. How do I signup?
Visit our affiliate sign up page to create your affiliate account. You can upload your logo and choose a color scheme on that page as well. Please allow 1-2 business days for your application to be approved.

Do you have banner ads I can put on my site?
Once your account has been activated, you can go to your control panel and go into the "Promote" section to choose any of the ads there for your site. Your unique tracking code will already be embedded in the HTML for those ads.

How do I track my sales and commissions?
Once you create an account, we will provide you with a real-time sales and revenue control panel. You can logon to the control panel at any time and track your sales.

When do I get paid?
All affiliates will be paid by March 31, 2010. This allows us time to process and validate all orders and deal with any potential customer chargebacks. We must also have your social security number or federal tax id on file before checks can be sent.
